ABOUT CIRCLE HARDWARE SUPPLY

Central Texans Deserve Expertise, Service and Respect from their Hardware Stores.

In years past, the hometown hardware store was right at the heart of the community.  Sooner or later just about everyone in the community would stop by to pick up something for a repair, to get some advice on how to approach a project or just for a friendly visit.  You could count on friendly, familiar faces; knowledge; great service and quality products.interior_paint_primer

As our world has gotten more mobile and fast paced, as the size of stores has grown, and as shopping online has increased some of the benefits of a hometown hardware store have gotten lost.

We are a 21st century hardware supply store with all the benefits of technology in both quality products and information systems.  We have the heart of a hometown hardware supply store with an experienced,  knowledgeable team and outstanding customer service that is second to none. We are your hardware supply store with experienced people you know and quality products you trust.

To that end, in addition to all the quality products you will find at Circle Hardware Supply, we are still a hardware supply store where you can get glass cut, window and door screens repaired, locks re-keyed, doors mortised and repaired, cabinet doors re-glued or repaired, boards cut, mailbox stands constructed, and swings built.  And if there is something we did not mention, just ask us.  If we can do it for you we will! That is our commitment to you!  We value our community and our customers!

Always Locally Owned and Operated.  Circle Hardware Supply has always been a locally owned and operated hardware store and lumberyard.  The company was started in 1945 by Grady Williams and William Jones.  The two men owned a successful construction company and decided it would be a good idea to open a lumber yard to secure a more profitable buying source for their own needs as well as selling the lumber at retail to other builders.

In 1972, Mr. Jones' son-in-law,

Richard Cunningham bought the business, built a new building and soon added a hardware store to the already existing lumberyard. Richard's wife, Mary, joined the business in 1981 and continued running the store after Richard passed away in 2005.

The business was purchased by Larry and Norma Dagley in July 2011.  The Dagley Family plans to build on the past but with the store renovation and expansion to build a store for the future that is a "one stop" for commercial and residential maintenance, repair, remodeling and restoration projects.  And, as always, a store with a friendly staff and great customer service!

Our History

Today's Circle Hardware Supply

Following the purchase from Mrs. Cunningham in 2011, the Dagleys joined the Do it Best cooperative, also established in 1945.

Working with the Do it Best store design team the Dagleys developed a new store design plan that updated the outside and inside appearance of the store as well as expanded the sales floor from the previous space of approximately 3,800 square feet to approximately 5,800 square feet.

In addition, the Dagleys, working with the Do it Best retail merchandising team developed a new merchandising plan that expanded the product lines previously offered and added a number of new product lines including more plumbing supplies for faucet and other plumbing repairs and a wider selection of light bulbs, cable and multi-purpose ties, mini blinds and door and cabinet hardware.

Store hours are 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.  The store is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

“We appreciate our customers” said Larry Dagley “and every effort will be made to limit inconveniences as we continue to update and expand our facilities.”

Norma Dagley added, “If we don’t have it in our store we can get it for you”.  “We have access to 70,000 products in the 500,000 square foot Do it Best Regional Service Center in Hewitt.”  “And you can go to our website, shop on line and have your purchases delivered to our store to pick up at your convenience.”

Circle Hardware, a locally owned hardware supply and convenience lumber store, was established in 1945 and has operated at its present location, 2504 LaSalle, since that time.  Do it Best Corp. is an international cooperative of over 4,000 independently owned hardware and lumber stores allowing its independent member owners a buying advantage to compete with big box retailers.

“We are proud to be the owners of a business with such a rich history in Waco”, said Larry Dagley.  “Our plans are to build on the past but with our store renovation and expansion to build a store for the future that is the one stop for commercial and residential maintenance, repair, remodel and restoration projects.”
